# AML/CTF for NSW accountants, run for you each month

If you set up companies or trusts, or provide a registered office address, AUSTRAC lists those among the designated services. We run the monthly routine. You make the calls and sign.

## What a client file looks like

A client asks you to set up a family trust. You send us one short form with the trust name and the people involved. We identify the trustees and beneficiaries, screen them for sanctions and PEPs, rate the risk using your risk assessment, and put a one-page review card together. You see it in your monthly pack.

- Write your risk assessment and policies from your own intake
- Check each new client and the people behind companies and trusts
- Screen for sanctions and PEPs, and re-screen existing clients
- Keep your training records and deadline calendar
- Prepare the monthly pack, and draft any report for you to review and lodge

### You do

- Stay your own compliance officer
- Hold your AUSTRAC enrolment
- Review and lodge every report to AUSTRAC
- Tell us when your business changes
- Review and sign the monthly pack

## Fees

Three tiers from \$290 a month, ex GST, with the full table on the [home page](https://plainaml.com.au/#fees). Founding firms (the first 10) pay \$0 setup and go month to month. Standard terms are \$490 setup and a 3-month initial term.

Tax returns and bookkeeping on their own generally aren't covered. Whether the law applies depends on the services you provide, so confirm with AUSTRAC or your own adviser. See AUSTRAC: professional designated services.
